Beating Covid

Have you ever read a book or watched a movie—and you skipped to the last chapter or watched the last five minutes? It just seems to take all of the tension and worry out of the adventure. Sometimes, that’s a good thing.

By God’s great grace and mercy, we know the ultimate truth. We will be with our heavenly Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, those born again, and others who love God—throughout eternity. We will forever be with the Lord. And that takes a lot of the tension and worry out of this adventure known as life.

Hebrews 6:19:
Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast.

So, we’re saved by grace when we believe on Jesus Christ and get eternal life. Plus, there are eternal rewards for those things we have done in love and obedience to our Father.

I Corinthians 3:14:
If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

What’s the big deal about overcoming the evils in this life. Won’t God help us? I think so.

Romans 8:32:
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Let’s Do It

Getting down to business, how do we defeat Covid right now, seeing the big story hasn’t ended yet? Remember that it’s still God’s grace and mercy that allows us to do any good works now. Here are a few tips that may help. Let me know how it goes.

1. Pray all the time, and thank the Father for His help in any way He can (which is a lot).

2. Don’t try to do it all yourself—you can do some of it—but God’s got the answers.

3. Walk in love and light with your eyes open. You’ll know what to do.

4. Some basic physicals: GOOD and ENOUGH of water, sunshine, food, rest, exercise, and air.

5. Stay thankful. God and His Son have your back. That’s what they do.

Love you.

Here are some scriptures to back up the list.

1. I Thessalonians 5:17: Pray without ceasing.

2. I Peter 5:7: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Philippians 2:13: For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

3. Ephesians 5:2,8,15: And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us….walk as children of light…See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise.

4. Ephesians 5:29: For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church.

5. I Thessalonians 5:18,24,28: In every thing give thanks…Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it…The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
