Our heavenly Father called us in Christ. We can answer that call and walk each day in God’s Word.
Ephesians 4:1: I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called.
Here is a poem about our calling:
I’ve received long-distance calls before,
I’ve talked with men of fame.
But my mind reels back in wonder
That God would call my name.
Before the world’s foundation,
The Creator called my name
To be His son and walk in Christ,
The “all truth” made so plain.
He’s written me some letters
That unfold this glorious call
And speak of spirit and power,
With God my all in all.
And now I’m part of a called-out body,
Where I can grow so tall,
Standing as a son of God,
I have answered God’s call.
