Moving Ahead

They say that the times are too heavy—
They’ll fill you with fear and with dread,
To enlist in their negative levy,
Don’t listen—keep moving ahead.

You can’t change the past and its sorrows;
Today is what needs to be led.
That’s what brings forth the brightest tomorrows,
Hold your chin up while moving ahead.

The Scriptures are clear on God’s power,
Full of answers that wait to be read.
Claiming God’s strength each moment and hour
Gives you victory moving ahead.

When you face opposition don’t panic,
Even Christ had to rise from the dead
And ascend—now that’s Messianic!
Overcomers love moving ahead.

God’s high calling is what lies before us—
That’s why Paul could still get out of bed.
We tackle each task with a chorus
Of singing: “We’re moving ahead!”
