

Every day is a special, holy, and sanctified day when we walk with the Father and serve our Lord Jesus Christ. But why did God set life in a seven-day cycle? We see this not only on our calendar, but in life around us.

Psalm 84 is in the Leviticus book of the Psalms (73—89). The Old Testament book of Leviticus focuses on matters in the sanctuary: the priesthood, ceremonial laws, and feasts. Almost all of these 17 Psalms mention the sanctuary and God’s relation to it. Psalm 84 shows the great blessings of those who worship God in the sanctuary. Jesus Christ made it available to worship the Father “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24).
One of my favorite pastimes as a youth was reading Greek and Roman mythology. I found these stories of love and hate, life and death, suffering and redemption, to be exciting and worthy of my time and thought. Only later did I realize that every myth is an adaptation of the great conflict declared by the Creator to the first man and woman.
