Background
Psalms 61-72 complete the Exodus book in Psalms and show the Messiah’s great atoning work. Psalm 64 shows God protecting the righteous and upright from their enemies.
Structure
(Verses 1,2) Prayer for God’s protection
(Verses 3-6) The wicked attack in their evil works (against the Messiah)
(Verses 7,8) Prayer answered against David’s enemies
(Verses 9,10) God is glorified for His saving work (eventually in the Messiah)
Key Scriptures
Verse 4—“That they may shoot in secret at the perfect.” The word “perfect” means undefiled. There was only one person without sin, and that is Jesus Christ (II Corinthians 5:1; Hebrews 4:15). The Devil uses evil men and seducers to defame God’s only begotten son. That was true when the Messiah was anticipated by David, and it is still true today. They are “anti Christ” (I John 2:18,22; 4:3; II John 7).
Verse 10—“The righteous shall be glad in the Lord.” Both Jesus and his mother, Mary, rejoiced in spirit (Luke 1:47; 10:21). As born-again believers, we worship the Father in the spirit and rejoice in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:3).

I love verse 10. What a great promise to be fulfilled. The righteous shall be glad in the Lord. “In the Lord” is where we can enjoy our version of milk and. honey.
