Today a friend was ordained to the Christian ministry. Paul told his beloved disciple and friend, Timothy, what it means to truly serve God through His Son.
Let’s see God’s loving heart toward us as our Father as a Shepherd, and how His only Son Jesus Christ (who made known the Father) is also a good shepherd. Through Christ, we can be good shepherds ourselves.

Like so many other of David’s Psalms, this Psalm shows the Messiah’s trust in the Lord’s strength to give him victory. The Lord is his strength and shield, “the saving strength of his anointed” (verses 7,8).
